01Services

What we take care of.

Pick the one that fits, or describe it in your own words and we’ll point you the right way.

01

Panel & service upgrades

More circuits, a safer enclosure, and room for what comes next.

A panel that is full, warm to the touch or tripping on ordinary loads is telling you something. We measure what the building actually draws, size the replacement for that, and label every circuit before we hand it back.

02

EV charger installation

A home charger, on a circuit that can actually carry it.

We check the load first: sometimes the answer is a load-management device rather than a service upgrade, which is the cheaper way round. Then we mount the unit, run the circuit and commission it with your car plugged in.

03

Faults & emergency repair

Half the building dark, a breaker that will not reset, a burning smell.

These are the calls we take out of order. Tell us what happened and we will tell you what to switch off before we arrive. We find the fault, make it safe, and then talk about the repair.

04

Wiring & rewiring

New circuits, tired old runs, and everything behind the walls.

New circuits for a kitchen, a workshop or an office, and old wiring that has run out of life. We plan routes to keep openings small and show you what was behind the wall before we close it up.

05

Lighting installation

Fixtures, recessed lighting, dimmers, and outdoor light that lasts.

Fixtures and fans hung and wired properly, recessed lighting laid out so a room is lit evenly, and dimmers matched to the lamps so nothing flickers or buzzes.

06

Outlets, switches & surge protection

GFCI and AFCI protection, outdoor outlets, surge protection at the panel.

Outlets added where the extension cords have been living, GFCI protection where water is, and surge protection at the panel. Small jobs, done properly and tested before we leave.

03How it works

Three steps. Start to finish.

  1. Electrician mounting a geometric pendant light fixture to a ceiling

    01Step 1 of 3

    Tell us what is happening

Call or send the form with what you are seeing: the breaker that trips, the outlet that runs warm, the charger you want fitted.

  2. Uniformed technician standing at the open door of her service van outside a house

    02Step 2 of 3

    We test first

We find the actual fault or measure the actual load, then talk you through the options.

  3. Electrician in blue coveralls working at a wall-mounted electrical panel

    03Step 3 of 3

    Work, test, label

We do the work, test what we touched and label the circuits we changed.

06Questions

Common questions.

Don’t see yours? Ask us directly.

01Do you charge for a call-out or an estimate?

Ask when you call and we will tell you before the visit is booked: whether there is a diagnostic fee, what it is, and whether it comes off the repair if you go ahead.

02How soon can you come out?

Call and we will give you the first slot we actually have, rather than the one that sounds best. Faults, burning smells and dead circuits get pulled ahead of planned work.

03My breaker keeps tripping. Can I just keep resetting it?

No. A breaker that trips is doing its job. Leave it off and call us, and tell us what was running when it went, because that usually narrows the fault down quickly.

04Is an old panel dangerous on its own?

Age alone does not make a panel dangerous; condition and load do. What worries us is heat, rust, scorching and aluminium branch wiring. Send a photo of the label when you call.

05Can you work on a building I rent out?

Yes. Tell us who the point of contact is and who is paying, and we will keep both informed.
